Ingredients

large green cabbage leaves,
1 lb
lean ground beef
3/4 cup rice
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 clove garlic (minced)
1/2 tsp oregano
3/4 tsp basil leaves (crushed)
2
eggs
1 lb can tomato sauce
3/4 cup water
2 Tbsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp vinegar
1 Tbsp corn starch
Instructions
Drop cabbage leaves into boiling salt water for about 5 minutes or until
just limp. Drain leaves.
Mix beef, rice, onion, salt, pepper, garlic, oregano, basil and eggs.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Blend tomato sauce, water, brown sugar, vinegar and corn starch until
smooth. Pour over rolls. Cover with foil.
Bake 40 or 50 minutes, spooning sauce over rolls once or twice while
baking. Makes 4 servings.
