2 quarts (10 cups) ripe tomatoes, peeled & chopped
1 quart (5 cups) white onions, chopped
2 medium green peppers, chopped
2 red peppers, chopped
1 Tbsp. pickling salt
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups white vinegar
2 Tbsp mustard seed
1 cup celery, chopped
1 pint (2 1/2 cups) tart apples, diced
1/2 Tbsp whole cloves and 1 Tbsp stick cinnamon tied in a cheesecloth
bag
Combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring often. Reduce heat
and simmer until
mixture is thick and clear. Seal in hot sterilized jars.
