¼ c. butter
4 c. shredded cabbage
2 chopped onions
½ tsp rosemary leaves
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp. pepper
3 medium peeled potatoes, thinly sliced
4 medium carrots, diagonally sliced
2 c. rutabaga cut in ¼” x1" strips
1 lb. ham cut in 2" x ¼” strips
¼ c. grated Parmesan or your favourite
cheese
In large frypan, melt butter. Saute cabbage
and onions over med. heat for 3 min. Stir in rosemary, salt &
pepper ; set aside.
In greased. 3 qt. baking dish, layer potatoes,
carrots, rutabaga and ham.
Spoon cabbage over top.
Cover & bake at 350ºF. for 50
min.
Remove cover; sprinkle with cheese and
bake about 5 min. longer or until lightly browned. Serves 4.
Preparation time: 15 min.
Cooking time: 55 min.
